Welcome!

My name is Hillary and I have always been interested in cooking/baking. Of course I realized this too late in life and had already gotten a degree in Photography so I pursued that as my career. However, when something you love becomes your job you invariably end up becoming less interested in it as time goes by so while I love what I do - I needed to find something where I can be creative, be my own boss and feel inspired every time I think about it!

That's when I realized Etsy is awesome. After I told my Mom that maybe my new life dream was to open up a bake shop and she went on and on about the risks of opening a business, getting loans and business school training I'd need I realized Etsy was a great place to test the waters on the demand for your product. Since baking was what I was after all I needed was a niche and it was right in front of my face - I love everything geek culture and am a total dork myself, whether it's Zelda or Star Wars, Harry Potter or Lost - sign me up. So I decided to start making cookies specifically for the geek's (which I say only lovingly) out there and have been pretty pumped since.

I am hoping with this blog to give people a sneak peek behind the Etsy shop, maybe give some advice through my successes and failures to other cookie crafters and link up with other people who troll baking blogs as much as I do = )

I have another blog regarding my quest to lose weight... so hopefully both of these blogs - and, more importantly, life ventures - will play nice.

Is that too much to ask? Probably = D
